LION: A birthday is the anniversary of the birth of a person, or figuratively of an institution. Birthdays of people are celebrated in numerous cultures, often with birthday gifts, birthday cards, a birthday party, or a rite of passage.

Many religions celebrate the birth of their founders or religious figures with special holidays (e.g. Christmas, Mawlid, Buddha’s Birthday, Krishna Janmashtami and Gurpurb).

There is a distinction between birthday and birthdate (also known as date of birth): the former, except for February 29, occurs each year (e.g. January 15), while the latter is the complete date when a person was born (e.g. January 15, 2001).

This post contains very special moments during my staying at Sarospatak, thermal pools in Hungary.

Great relaxing place with thermal pools from 28-36C. 7 different pools – Small for children, with water slides until big swimming pool. Good area for people in any age. Place with good food and beverage facilities, the area adapted to rest in the fresh air on the lawn with quiet music coming from speakers across the entire area. Definitely I can recommend anyone for chill out weekend.

Nice bath with many outdoor pools with warm water in the range 26-36 C. In the main season it is crowded here but for the children is fine – there are many facilities for the children like slides (paid), playgrounds in and so on. For the swimmer there is only one 25m lenght pool with warm water usually it is crowded. There are many restaurants with fast food you can pay by cash – domestic money or with a credit card.

This post contains very special moments during my staying at village called Udavské, celebration day.

The village of Udavské is located in the eastern part of Slovakia in the district of Humenné in the Prešov Region. The village itself is located at the confluence of the Laborca ​​and Udavy rivers at an altitude of 165 meters. The first written mention of the village is from the year 1317 and it was created during the turbulent period of struggles for the vacant Hungarian throne. The village is dominated by the Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity, built in 1927. In 1924, Cardinal Jozef Tomko was born in Udava. Today, Udavské is one of the modern, dynamically developing villages. Citizens live a rich cultural, social and sports life.

Symbolically, on the eve of his hundredth birthday, his bust was unveiled here in Udava. They anchored her in the birth chest that he loved so much. They want everyone who passes by to stop and remember him, the values ​​he embodied and lived by. I express my hope that this work preserves vivid images of Cardinal Tomek for the current generation and reminds future generations of the life and work of an important personality of our village.

Swimming pool, sauna, sports complex (BARNOVA RIKA)
The sports and recreation area “BARNOVA RIKA” is operated for the purpose of supporting the development of tourism and tourism in the village of Zemplínske Hámre and its surroundings. It was put into operation in 2009. Since then, it has been a sought-after tourist destination for residents of the entire region. It provides rest, recreation and entertainment to the public.

At the swimming pool there is one swimming pool with dimensions of 25.00 x 12.50 m with a depth of 1.25 m, a children’s wet slide with a diving board into a small pool with a diameter of 6.00 m and a depth of 0.60 m. The swimming pool also has a children’s playground and natural grass terraces for sunbathing. There are also places reserved for roasting or cooking goulash. Visitors to the swimming pool have 9 changing cabins, lockers and showers available. The swimming pool has a separate sanitary facility for men’s toilets and women’s toilets. The capacity of the pool is 104 people and the capacity of the swimming pool is 520 people. The swimming pool is in operation seasonally, usually from June to September.
