Simona Hegerová, stage name Sima, stylized as SIMA (* April 30, 1996, Trnava) is a Slovak singer, also known as a rapper. She personally claims that she is not a rapper, but rather a rapping singer. She is known from the singing show Hlas Česko Slovenska, but she became famous only in 2015 thanks to the Podzemgang project, when rapper Ego introduced her to the scene. She has released four studio albums, two EPs and more than 50 video clips. Among her biggest hits are the songs “Spolu”, “Toto leto”, “Slobodná” and “Femina”. He has collaborated with Ego, Separ, Kali, Ben Cristova or the groups Kontrafakt and Nerieš.
She was able to establish herself even without playing on the radio, as in 2022 she remained at the top of the charts of streaming services for a long time as the most streamed Slovak performer. According to his own words, he owes his significant successes to his own ambition and production cooperation with his partner Tomáš Gajlík. She writes the lyrics for the songs exclusively herself. In her songs she sings not only about love, feelings and her life. Sima mainly supports other women with her work and tries to motivate them. She also directed and edited many of her video clips herself.
Her video clips on YouTube reach the threshold of several million views and immediately after release occupy the leading ranks of the Slovak YouTube trending chart. Her YouTube channel has more than 399 million views so far. Her most successful video clip “Together” has 37.3 million views so far and, apart from children’s work, it is the 4th most viewed Slovak video clip on the platform. For 2020, YouTube rated the video clip “Toto leto” as the most popular music video on Slovak YouTube.
After an eight-year career, in 2022 she made it to a billboard in Times Square in New York. She achieved the prestigious placement as the second Slovak performer.
