This post contains very special memories during my visiting event called “Dni mesta Snina”.

In recent years, during this event, which is very popular with the people of Snina, they have mostly struggled with bad weather at the end of September. As the city of Snina tries to create many pleasant situations for its citizens to actively spend their free time, we decided that the Days of the City of Snina will once again be held in the summer month of June, so we hope that you will be able to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere at the Days of the City on a warm summer evening.

They have prepared a rich program for you, the content of which we will gradually communicate. However, there will certainly be no shortage of entertainment, great music and good food.

The fair is traditionally a part of the city’s celebrations, this time it will bear the adjective “summer”. But do not despair, in September they will again have the so-called “traditional” – autumn.

Lake Vinianske is a reservoir in the southern part of the Vihorlat Mountains. Location: It is located approximately 2 km northeast of the village of Vinné and lies between the hills Šutová (319.3 m above sea level), Marečková (401.6 m above sea level), Bogdanka (275.8 m above sea level) and Senderov (309.7 m above sea level). The water area measures 8 ha and its greatest depth is 3.8 m. The lake is a popular tourist location with many cottages and the possibility of swimming, boating, hiking and, in winter, ice skating. It is accessible by a road from the village of Vinné, which goes around the entire lake and also by hiking trails. Catering and accommodation services are offered to visitors.

Near it is the starting point of a hiking trail, marked with a TouristicMarkingStripe-RAL yellow.svg yellow tourist marker to the popular Vinian castle (325.3 m above sea level).

Zemplínska šírava in the past called Zemplínska or Podvihorlatská sąňava, originally called Vihorlatská nádrž, is a water reservoir in eastern Slovakia in the Bodrog basin below the Vihorlat hills. It is the second largest water dam in Slovakia in terms of surface area, and at the same time the third largest in Slovakia in terms of total water volume (after Liptovská Mara and Oravská dam). It is a popular tourist destination with seven recreation centers. In addition to recreation, it serves to irrigate the agricultural land of the East Slovak Plain, to protect against floods and as a water source for industry. The eastern part of the reservoir is a protected area.

This post contains very special moments during live concert of Kollarovci – folk group.

Kollárovci are a Slovak musical group. It was founded in 1997 and their main source of repertoire consists of Slovak folk songs, which they try to enrich and revive with their own musical arrangements.

The Kollár family come from the small Goral village of Kolačkov in the district of Stará Ľubovňa. The band consists of seven members, including three Kollár brothers: Tomáš Kollár, Štefan Kollár and the youngest Marek Kollár. The instrument cast consists of violin, saxophone, cymbal, accordion, double bass and drums, guitar. The Kollárov brothers are very popular in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

The basis of their repertoire is a folk song enriched by their goral temperament. The repertoire also includes compositions from other genres, such as classical music, popular music, or own work, which characterizes this band and separates it from other bands of a similar genre. Original songs were composed by: Štefan Kollár, Tomáš Kollár, Marek Kollár, Štefan Repka, but they also collaborated with Martin Sarvaš.

The Kollárovci band has gone through some minor changes. Their cousin Štefan Repka left. He went his own way. Ďuri joined the band and we see it as a positive change.

Kollarovci released 11 music CDs and 4 music DVD CDs. They perform several performances every year, they performed abroad at the folklore festival in Chambly (France) and in other countries such as Romania, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria. In the Czech Republic, they regularly perform on Šlágr TV. One of the biggest festivals is the Meeting of Gorals in the Pieniny Mountains, which takes place every year in the Red Monastery.
